Job Overview:

BENJAMIN FRANKLIN CHARTER SCHOOL-QUEEN CREEK is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Chemistry Educator to join our Junior High/High School Team for the upcoming school year. As a Chemistry Teacher, you will be responsible for creating an engaging and challenging learning environment that fosters student growth and development.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement dynamic hands-on Chemistry programs that inspire student curiosity and wonder.
  • Leverage our well-equipped laboratory to reinforce student learning of theoretical aspects of Chemistry through comprehensive lab investigations.
  • Under the supervision of the Principal, plan, organize, and implement the school's instructional program in a learning environment that motivates and guides students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Support BENJAMIN FRANKLIN CHARTER SCHOOL-QUEEN CREEK Vision, Mission, and Goals.
  • Promote and adhere to school policies and procedures.
  • Provide a safe, structured environment focused on academic excellence.
  • Create a learning environment that is engaging and conducive to effective instruction; maintain standards of student behavior.
  • Prepare and follow lesson plans correlated with the prescribed curriculum and pacing guides.
  • Communicate learning objectives to students in a well-planned, organized manner using clear and precise language.
  • Monitor and assess student progress; provide ongoing feedback to students and parents, communicating respectfully and professionally at all times.
  • Rely on Socratic questioning techniques to check for student understanding, help students draw connections, and develop student reasoning.
  • Use classroom and state assessment data to inform and improve instruction.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and legible records as required by law and school policy.
  • Reflect on teaching practices and strive to improve professional competence.
  • Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required.
  • Participate in curriculum development programs as required.
  • Be an active presence on campus, including staff meetings, schoolwide events, parent-teacher conferences, and other scheduled meetings as required.
  • Meet any additional specific job requirements as indicated by the school site or District.
