Job Summary

The Security Operations Specialist, acting in the role of Surveillance Operator, is required to observe and report any suspicious activities, policy &/or procedure infractions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure an exceptional level of service and satisfaction is achieved throughout the property, exceeding the expectations of external and internal guests alike in a timely and effective manner.
  • Must know all cash operations and slot operations.
  • Writes detailed reports of observations made during shift.
  • Closely observes Cage and Count Room activities.
  • Reports violations regarding deviations from game protection procedures and cash handling procedures.
  • Reports violations of Title 31 criteria.
  • Ensures confidentiality of information regarding reports, investigations and suspicious activities of team members or guests.
  • Identifies possible or known cheats, thieves or other individuals suspected of endangering company assets and reports accordingly.
  • Must closely observe the daily slot drop.
  • Provides overall protection from, and elimination of, anything that may tend to jeopardize the welfare and security of the company assets, properties, guests, and team members.
  • Patrols the buildings and grounds.
  • Safeguards the assets of the casino.
  • Enforces gaming regulations included in the MICS.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and complete written accident and incident reports as required by policy/procedure/internal controls.
  • Guards and transports chips, tokens, currency, and coins throughout the casino.
  • Escorts drop cart to storage area.
  • Periodically, examines doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure.
  • Warns violators of rule infractions and apprehends or expels persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
  • Periodically, inspects equipment and machinery to ascertain if tampering has occurred.
  • Detect and correct safety and/or security problems that could endanger guests or team members.
  • Sounds alarm or calls police/fire department by telephone in case of emergency.
  • Records data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and malfunctioning of machinery or equipment.
  • Regulates vehicle and pedestrian traffic to maintain orderly flow.
  • Provides information and directions to guests.
  • Appropriately react to incidents and make decisions under stress and/or duress.
  • Comply with the confidential policy as it relates to the release or disclosure of organizational information.
  • Demonstrates excellent guest service skills and cooperates with other team members in providing guest information, assistance, and service.
  • Adheres to all regulatory, departmental, casino policies and procedures, and MICS.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Must adhere to departmental, organizational, state, and federal safety rules and regulations, applicable processes for safe operation, appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, in addition to any/all related controls for personal welfare and the safety of others.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED Required
  • At least 21 years of age
  • 1 year Law Enforcement, Security, Surveillance or Guest Service experience
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 1 month of hire.)
  • Valid Drivers License and be insurable on Company's Policy
