About the Role

Sysco is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues and recommend preventative maintenance.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, including electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Supervise and mentor junior technicians to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and technologies to ensure Sysco's fleet remains at the forefront of innovation.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance, with a focus on diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles.
  • ASE certifications in diesel engines, brakes, and electrical systems.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
