About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Flight Safety System Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. This is a hybrid role that requires expert-level knowledge of flight safety systems and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, review, update, and approve system verification artifacts and system requirements
  • Design electrical circuits and identify issues, propose solutions, and ensure appropriate action is taken to mitigate issues
  • Work effectively with the hiring manager to set a schedule and manage the workload

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • 10 years of experience with technical engineering background, leading teams in the aerospace or government sector, or an advanced degree and 7 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree
  • 12+ years of directly related experience in mechanical and electrical design
  • Specific experience developing electrical sub-systems used in flight termination
  • Working knowledge of RCC319
