We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud-Based Machine Learning Engineer to join our team at Manulife and John Hancock. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based machine learning solutions on Azure platforms and Databricks. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing scalable and robust machine learning models, data pipelines, and insights visualization solutions using Azure technologies. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy machine learning solutions that meet business requirements. Additionally, they will stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in cloud-based machine learning technologies and techniques.

Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement machine learning models, algorithms, and data pipelines on Azure platforms and Databricks.
  2. Design and develop scalable and efficient data storage solutions using Azure technologies such as Azure Data Lake, Azure Blob Storage, and Azure SQL Database.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy machine learning solutions that meet business requirements.
  4. Apply Databricks to train, deploy, and manage machine learning models.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field and 3+ years of experience in developing cloud-based machine learning solutions on Azure platforms and Databricks. They will also have strong proficiency in developing machine learning models using Python machine learning packages, Azure Databricks, and other Azure technologies. Additionally, they will have experience working with Azure data storage solutions such as Azure Data Lake, Azure Blob Storage, and Azure SQL Database. Strong programming skills in Python, R, or other relevant languages are also required. Experience with data visualization tools and techniques using Azure technologies such as Power BI and PowerApps is a plus. Experience with DevOps practices and tools for machine learning model deployment is also required. The ideal candidate will also have strong problem-solving and analytical skills and excellent communication and collaboration skills.
