Accounts Payable Clerk Job Description

Wise Foods is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable and be proficient in JD Edwards, MP2, Image Silo, and SAP.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process invoices and verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records
  • Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
  • Match vendor invoices with MP2 purchase orders/receipts to update status in MP2 and voucher into JDE for payment
  • Verify and investigate price discrepancies between purchase orders and vendor pricing
  • Voucher 3-way invoices into JDE for payment and voucher any requests that are received into JDE for payment
  • Perform daily check disbursements and send transmittals to PNC and JPM
  • Maintain address book for new and existing vendors
  • Process yearly 1099s and mail them out by January 31st
  • Assist the A/P Supervisor and fill in for them in their absence
  • Distribute incoming mail to the proper department/personnel
  • Perform daily invoice filing in the vault
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1-2 years of Accounts Payable or Accounting experience
  • Proficiency in JD Edwards, MP2, Image Silo, and SAP preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and be flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
