Position Summary/General Description:
The Operations Supervisor will support the Store Manager in overseeing the daily functions of the convenience store, focusing on performance metrics, cash management, budgeting, inventory control, security protocols, customer engagement, and staff management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Prioritize exceptional customer service and ensure team members deliver outstanding service through effective practices and communication.
Oversee the receipt, inspection, and verification of merchandise for quality and quantity, ensuring alignment with ordering documents and maintaining appropriate profit margins.
Analyze store performance metrics and implement strategies to enhance sales by meeting or exceeding set targets.
Ensure product displays are accurate and visually appealing, implementing promotional strategies in accordance with established guidelines.
Assist the Store Manager in strategizing improvements in product placement and overall store presentation.
Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and company policies, including security, safety, food handling, sanitation, and labor laws.
Build rapport and loyalty with customers through genuine interactions (e.g., remembering names and preferences, engaging personally and professionally, maintaining eye contact, and greeting customers warmly).
Act as a role model for store staff.Provide input on hiring, disciplinary actions, coaching, and retention of team members, including documentation completion. Assist in training new employees.
Maintain appropriate stock levels, product freshness, pricing accuracy, and food safety across all departments.
Ensure compliance with company policies by all personnel.
Assist customers and address inquiries or complaints effectively.
Complete daily reports accurately and review closing reports.
Ensure inventory accuracy and integrity.
Manage daily bank deposits, change orders, and ATM funds.
Prepare and post work schedules for store personnel, verifying timecard accuracy.
Supervise all shifts effectively.
Merchandise the store in accordance with company standards.
Foster teamwork (e.g., work towards collective goals, promote a collaborative environment, support colleagues, treat everyone with kindness and respect, avoid negativity, remain open to feedback and improvement, embrace challenges with a team-oriented mindset).
Develop comprehensive knowledge of services, amenities, and surroundings (e.g., RV Park, restaurants, retail stores) to provide accurate information to guests regarding promotions and events.
Forecast labor needs, create schedules, and monitor staffing levels to align with sales and productivity goals, addressing any cost control issues.
Ensure accountability at the cash register, accuracy in scanning, and compliance with security and cash management protocols.Monitor vendor performance to ensure adherence to company standards.
Maintain store appearance to meet company expectations.
Actively participate in the LDC Management Capacity Program.
Attend Supervisor Development Leadership training annually.
Work effectively under pressure; maintain regular attendance, including availability for odd hours, weekends, and holidays.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
2-3 years of relevant experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
Licensing & Certification:
None.
Computer Equipment, Software, Machinery:
Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Familiar with standard office equipment (e.g., multi-line phone systems, computers, copy/fax machines).
Essential Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to bend, hear, kneel, stand, talk, walk, twist, and use hands repetitively 50-100% of the time.
Ability to crouch, reach overhead, sit, lift 1-50+ lbs., and slide/transfer 1-50+ lbs. 25-50% of the time.
Essential Mental Demands:
This role requires problem-solving, organization, planning, decision-making, data interpretation, and reading/writing 51-100% of the time.
