- Conduct Patient Assessments and Screenings: Evaluate patients' oral health and identify potential issues to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Education and Patient Communication: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions to promote healthy habits.
- Assist with Dental Procedures: Assist the dentist during procedures, such as fillings and extractions, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain Accurate Patient Records: Utilize electronic dental software to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Follow Infection Control Protocols: Adhere to strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures.
- Valid State Dental Hygiene License: Possess a valid state dental hygiene license to practice in the state of Illinois.
- Graduation from an Accredited Dental Hygiene Program: Graduated from an accredited dental hygiene program with a strong foundation in dental anatomy, oral pathology, and periodontal disease.
- Proficiency in Dental Software: Proficient in using dental software for patient management and medical coding.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills to effectively educate and communicate with patients.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals.
- Certified Dental Assistant: Possession of a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification is preferred.
This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule, requiring 15-16 hours of work per week. The ideal candidate will be able to work well in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $33.00 per hour and a supportive work environment that values teamwork and patient care.
