The Clinical Therapist is accountable for delivering therapeutic services and case management to clients and their families. This role involves close collaboration with the Director of Residential Therapy and requires effective partnership with case managers and community service providers to support children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and family therapy sessions.
- Facilitate skill development for individuals and families.
- Engage in treatment team meetings as necessary.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to create and implement a comprehensive treatment approach for children and families.
- Ensure timely completion of all required documentation.
- Design and lead therapeutic groups, as well as parent education and family skill-building programs.
- Provide training and support to direct care staff as needed.
- Embrace and apply the TBRI philosophy in practice.
- Adhere to the NASW Code of Ethics at all times.
- Develop initial Service Plans/Treatment Plans and maintain clinical progress notes and assessments as required.
- Take an active role in shaping outpatient service policies and procedures for children and families.
- Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions using evidence-based methods to foster positive change.
- Complete documentation in accordance with program policies and procedures.
- Maintain professional interactions with all residents, clients, and their families.
- Demonstrate initiative in the development of the program's team dynamics.
- Foster positive relationships with all staff members.
- Comply with all policies and procedures of Children's Village.
- Follow protocols regarding the handling of Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Participate in clinical on-call rotation as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Residential Therapy.
Qualifications:
- Commitment to the mission and vision of Children's Village.
- Ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds, regardless of sexual, ethnic, racial, or socio-economic status.
- Possess emotional and professional maturity, stability, and sound decision-making skills.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA policies at all times.
- Have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record.
- Fulfill all background check requirements.
- Acknowledge responsibility for reporting child abuse.
- Employment is contingent upon clearance from relevant authorities.
- Exercise caution in all duties and adhere to safety protocols to ensure the well-being of oneself, children, colleagues, and visitors.
