About The Job

This part-time position will play an essential role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and restaurant growth by preparing high-quality meals that meet the chef's exact specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare simple components of each dish on the menu by chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces.
  • Maintain sanitation standards in food preparation and storage areas.
  • Clean prep areas and take care of leftovers.
  • Stock inventory and supplies.
  • Cook menu items with the support of the kitchen staff.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and multi-tasking skills.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Culinary school training or experience as a prep cook would be advantageous.
  • Knife skills are a plus.
  • Knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods.
Compensation

We offer a competitive salary estimated at $45,000 per year based on industry standards for a Line Cook in New Jersey.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to tolerate extreme temperatures.
  • Significant standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling.
