Veterinary Associate

Position Summary

• Evaluate, diagnose, and administer treatment for various animal health issues, while advising pet owners on preventive care and executing medical and surgical procedures including vaccinations, dental care, imaging, and orthopedic interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations to identify health concerns in animals.
• Diagnose and manage medical conditions affecting animals.
• Address trauma and injuries through appropriate treatment.
• Perform surgical procedures on animals as necessary.
• Administer vaccinations and conduct disease testing.
• Utilize medical technology such as x-ray machines, endoscopy, and ultrasound.

Client Consultation

• Provide guidance to pet owners regarding general care and treatment options.

Medication Management

• Prescribe appropriate medications for various conditions.
• Perform euthanasia when required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid California veterinary license.
• Preferred experience of 2-5 years in veterinary practice.
