Job Summary

MetaSense Inc is seeking a highly skilled RN - MedSurg Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to patients undergoing medical and surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their needs and develop individualized care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Clinical Skills and Competence: Demonstrate expertise in clinical skills and procedures, including emergency equipment and procedures, to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Documentation and Communication: Maintain accurate and complete documentation of patient care, including patient education and progress towards meeting outcomes.
  • Professionalism and Teamwork: Demonstrate professional practice responsibility, including knowledge of policies and procedures, and contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
  • Patient Satisfaction and Safety: Consistently respond to patients and families in a professional and courteous manner, promoting a safe and respectful environment.
  • Unit Specific Job Function: Demonstrate knowledge of surgical patient care, including procedures and equipment, and individualize patient care according to the procedure and type of anesthesia.
  • Responsibility and Accountability: Contribute to the perioperative team by assuming responsibility and accountability for directing patient care, prioritizing patient needs, and managing changes in patient condition.
  • Patient Education and Chart Completion: Assess patient understanding of surgical procedures and instructions, actively involving patients and family members in teaching, and performing pre-operative and postoperative assessments and education.
  • Physical Requirements: Meet the physical demands of the job, as defined by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Certifications and Licenses: BLS, RN License, NIHSS required prior to starting.
  • Experience: 1 year experience in a medical-surgical setting.
