Position Summary

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for conducting a variety of radiographic examinations, ensuring the technical quality of images, and managing patient interactions effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exceed standard duties to prioritize patient care and departmental efficiency.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures.
  • Utilize immobilization devices to achieve optimal imaging results as per physician requests.
  • Communicate procedures to patients to alleviate concerns and ensure cooperation.
  • Operate imaging equipment, adjusting exposure settings based on patient specifics and required imaging details.
  • Implement radiation safety measures to protect patients and staff.
  • Conduct both routine and specialized diagnostic radiology procedures.
  • Perform Bone Density (Dexa) assessments as necessary.
  • Assist radiologists during fluoroscopic and specialized x-ray procedures.
  • Prepare and mix contrast materials for imaging.
  • Process and review images for identification and quality assurance.
  • Commit to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Prepare images for review by radiologists or referring physicians.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on radiologic equipment, coordinating major repairs as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of work performed.
  • Exhibit flexibility to work across multiple locations and varying shifts.
  • Other related duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from an accredited college or technical institution.

Licenses and Certifications

  • MRTBE (CRT)
  • ARRT (R)
  • CPR Certification

Physical Demands

This role requires frequent communication, manual dexterity, and physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting. The ability to lift or move items up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally is essential. Vision capabilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
