Boilermaker Welder I

We are seeking a skilled Boilermaker Welder to join our team at Freeport-McMoRan. As a Boilermaker Welder, you will be responsible for performing duties related to assembly, maintenance, and repair of boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, and vats.

• Perform complex welding processes such as electric resistance, oxy acetylene, or arc torches.
• Conduct routine maintenance activities to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
• Develop solutions for various maintenance situations and complete Work Orders and other maintenance documentation.
• Train and mentor maintenance employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

• Two (2) years of experience in the crafts of Welder/Boilermaker or a combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in welding/cutting.
• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English.
• Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards.

• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
