At the American Red Cross, we're committed to helping people in need throughout the United States and around the world. As a Blood Component Manufacturing Specialist, you'll play a critical role in delivering lifesaving treatments and advancing cancer research.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform Apheresis procedures autonomously in multiple settings, including critical care, emergency rooms, and freestanding outpatient centers.
  • Conduct venipunctures, access central venous catheters, and access vortex and bard ports.
  • Act as a consultant to external healthcare personnel on clinical apheresis.
  • The American Red Cross will provide comprehensive training to ensure your success.
What You'll Need:
  • A current state licensure as a Registered Nurse and CPR certification.
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred, but not required.
  • Two years of experience in medical/surgical or critical care nursing, or related experience, is preferred.
  • Previous apheresis or dialysis experience is a plus.
  • Good vein selection and venipuncture skills are essential.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively discuss procedures and medical issues with patients, families, and physicians.
  • A current valid driver's license and a good driving record are required.
