Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Health Advocates Network. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Job Summary:

The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for assessing, treating, and caring for patients with respiratory disorders. This includes developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, conducting diagnostic tests, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and treat patients with respiratory disorders, including those with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and pneumonia.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including oxygen therapy, ventilation, and medication management.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests, such as pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and respiratory therapists, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on respiratory health and disease management.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an American Medical Association (AMA) approved Respiratory Care program.
  • Minimum 2 years of previous NICU and PEDS-specific experience required.
  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensure in applicable state (IN).
  • American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Providers.
  • Additional certifications may be required.
