Lead Audit Supervisor

Position Overview:
The Defense Contract Audit Agency is seeking a qualified individual to serve as the Supervisory Auditor. This role is pivotal in overseeing and executing a segment of the audit program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directs a significant portion of the overall audit program plan.
- Acts as a team leader within a collaborative work environment, guiding a group of professional auditors.
- Sets annual objectives that align with the agency's goals and mission.
- Reviews audit plans, documentation, progress reports, and preliminary audit findings.
- Ensures the application of quantitative methods and advanced auditing techniques throughout the audit process.
- Communicates effectively with acquisition officials regarding DCAA audit services and maintains essential audit relationships.
- Provides guidance and mentorship to team members.
Performance Evaluation:
- Assesses employee performance, recommends training and development opportunities, and takes necessary actions for performance or conduct issues.
Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen as verified through the E-Verify Program.
- This position requires successful completion of a drug test and is subject to random drug testing thereafter.
- Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance eligibility at the Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) level.
Educational Requirements:
- A degree in accounting or a related field is required, including at least 24 semester hours in accounting courses.
- Alternatively, a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
Specialized Experience:
- Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level or equivalent, which includes:
- Leading audit teams and independently managing complex audit assignments.
- Conducting comprehensive risk assessments and developing audit plans.
- Engaging with auditees to clarify audit objectives and gather necessary information.
- Preparing organized audit documentation and reports that detail findings and recommendations.
