Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver physical therapy services to patients in designated areas, facilitating the establishment of full caseloads for incoming therapists.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance VIVA Pediatrics' visibility among potential referral sources.
  • Conduct clinical assessments to determine patient needs and suitability for therapy.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including Plans of Care and progress notes, and adjust treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations.
  • Implement infection control protocols during patient care activities.
  • Accept clinical assignments aligned with your qualifications and expertise.
  • Oversee and guide team members in patient care as needed.
  • Fulfill continuing education requirements mandated by the agency and licensing board.
  • Design and implement treatment plans for various disorders based on medical referrals and assessments.
  • Instruct patients and families on safe transfer techniques and equipment usage.
  • Demonstrate ongoing professional development and commitment to quality care.
  • Promote the agency's mission and adhere to administrative policies.
  • Participate in the recruitment and mentoring of new therapists.
  • Provide clinical support and guidance to colleagues as necessary.
  • Review clinical documentation and evaluations.
  • Develop training programs for fellow physical therapists.
  • Perform physical tasks such as lifting and standing as required.
  • Manage stress effectively to meet patient needs and deadlines.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current Texas State License as a Physical Therapist.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License.
  • Current CPR certification and Hepatitis profile.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in pediatric physical therapy.
  • Ability to supervise Physical Therapy Assistants.
  • Reliable transportation and valid auto liability insurance.
