Position Title: Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit
Employment Type: Full-Time NIGHTS
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and manage patients experiencing critical health issues, including those requiring ventilatory support.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations, including Code Blue protocols, while performing necessary interventions and cardiac monitoring.
- Facilitate patient flow by overseeing screening processes, preparing individuals for examinations, and providing comprehensive nursing care.
- Educate patients and their families on medication regimens and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring timely updates of test results and examinations.
- Administer prescribed medications in accordance with physician directives.
- Conduct daily checks of patient rooms to ensure adequate supply levels.
- Handle incoming calls with professionalism, including triaging when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse program is required.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and TNCC are mandatory.
- Possession of a valid RN license in South Carolina or eligibility to obtain one is essential.
- A minimum of one to two years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting is preferred, with at least one year specifically in an Intensive Care Unit.
