About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Golf Course Superintendent to join our team at BrightView Golf Maintenance. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the maintenance, operation, and management of our golf courses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and direct the maintenance of all areas of the golf course, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and annual budgets.
  • Partner with customers to develop and implement long-term property improvement plans.
  • Supervise the operation, maintenance, and repair of all equipment assigned to the course.
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation.
  • Develop and implement an annual agronomic plan, aligning with technical specifications and budget constraints.
  • Procure and manage supplies and materials to support maintenance activities.
  • Prepare and distribute reports on maintenance activities as required.
  • Manage golf course employees, including recruitment, training, discipline, and separation.
  • Protect the company's interests by ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform administrative duties in a timely manner, including managing the BrightView Safety Program and the BrightView BV360 Management Program.
  • Represent BrightView Golf Maintenance in a positive and professional manner, adhering to company policies and expectations.
  • Maintain effective employee and public relations, meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
Requirements
  • Experience in all phases of golf course management and turf culture.
  • A working knowledge of construction, establishment, and maintenance practices employed on golf course putting greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers.
  • A degree or advanced knowledge of agronomy, horticulture, plant or soil science, with high administrative and executive ability.
  • Certification and/or licensure for pesticide usage.
  • A valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with fertilizers and soil conditioners, as well as irrigation systems, pumps, wells, and automatic controls.
  • Able to prepare the course for play in accordance with the rules of golf, evaluating the course from the player's perspective.
