Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technician to join our team at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital. As a Cardiovascular Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting with cardiac catheterization, vascular diagnostic, and interventional procedures. You will also perform emergency procedures associated with catheterization, including IAB and temporary pacer insertion. You will work under the direction of a credentialed invasive cardiologist or radiologist, and will be responsible for prioritizing resources to patient care and diagnostic activities based on accurate patient information and staff capabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in cardiac catheterization, vascular diagnostic, and interventional procedures
  • Perform emergency procedures associated with catheterization, including IAB and temporary pacer insertion
  • Prioritize resources to patient care and diagnostic activities based on accurate patient information and staff capabilities
  • Collect accurate data and participate in the patient's Place of Care in accordance with the department/unit's standards
  • Document findings and reports abnormal or out-of-range results to physician
Requirements
  • High school or GED required
  • LPN one year experience with Critical Care course within one year of hire or one year Cath Lab experience or one year RCIS or CVT or Graduate of accredited RCVT program
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
