Job Summary

An incumbent of this classification provides one-on-one and/or group intensive behavioral intervention service focused upon facilitating classroom and campus behavior in increasing socially appropriate behavior through applied behavior analysis principles and data collection analysis methods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide behavioral intervention services to students in a one-on-one and/or group setting.
  • Implement applied behavior analysis principles and data collection analysis methods to increase socially appropriate behavior.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized behavior plans.
  • Collect and analyze data to inform behavioral interventions and make data-driven decisions.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure successful implementation of behavior plans.
  • Establish and maintain a positive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Completion of 20 hour behavior technician training within the first 60 days.
  • Two years of higher education study (48-semester units) or possession of an Associate's or Higher degree.
  • Minimum of 6 months of behavior intervention experience utilizing ABA techniques.
  • Fingerprints and TB test required upon initial employment.
  • Preferred: Minimum of 2 years of behavior intervention experience utilizing ABA techniques, Bachelor's degree in a related field, and Registered Behavior Technician Certification.
Working Conditions

Indoor/Outdoor Environment where safety considerations exist due to physical effort.
