Job Title: Surgical Technologist

Job Summary:

GiaCare Inc. is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to support the San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC) in San Antonio, Texas. As a Surgical Technologist, you will work in a fast-paced environment, assisting physicians and nurses in various medical procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in minor operating room procedures
  • Perform preliminary screening and document patient information
  • Apply and remove bandages, dressings, and hot and cold packs
  • Remove sutures, nasal splints, staples, and packing
  • Clean and dress wounds as needed

Requirements:

  • Certificate from a Surgical Technology program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES)
  • Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association
  • One year of experience as a Surgical Technician or Operating Room Technician
  • Board Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech-in-Surgery (TS-C)
