Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technologist to join our team in Altoona, PA. The successful candidate will be responsible for ordering, collecting, preparing, and analyzing specimens in support of our provider team.
Key Responsibilities- Review laboratory reports for accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to our practice's policies and procedures.
- Produce high-quality lab results with minimal errors.
- Stay up-to-date with Laboratory Policy and Procedures Manuals and maintain satisfactory Proficiency Testing scores.
- Meet collection and turn-around-time expectations.
- Participate in annual competency assessments and accurately scan lab results into the Elation computer system.
- Commitment to our mission and values of respect, honesty, and dignity.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft office software and communication tools.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Successful completion of background check and drug screen.
- Maintain compliance with all Gloria Gates CARE standards.
- Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Science (MT, MLS) with bachelor's degree and an ASCP certification.
- At least one year of experience in a hospital, medical practice, or independent laboratory testing facility.
