We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Plater to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for welding parts and components for equipment, products, and installations using various welding techniques.
Key Responsibilities:- Select the appropriate welding method, such as TIG, MIG, MAG, or stick.
- Set up and operate a conventional lathe for the preparation of welded parts.
- Properly identify materials and component preparation.
- Assemble activities during production.
- Welding repairs on raw and finished parts.
- Welding installations based on technical drawings.
- Complete all welding work assigned according to operation instructions.
- Verify the quality of finished work, demonstrating an in-depth understanding of specifications and workmanship.
- Meet production goals relating to efficiency, schedules, and scrap.
- Troubleshoot and correct process and equipment problems.
- Collaborate with machinists and assemblers on the team to discuss and solve problems relating to repairs and equipment.
- Record accurate, timely data on computer-based systems or in manual logs.
- Apply an understanding of the process flow of documents, materials, and parts through the repair or manufacturing process.
- Welding experience in a manufacturing or repair environment.
- Able to define, evaluate, and discuss quality workmanship related to welding.
- Must show a customer-service mindset for on-time delivery and quality work.
- Able to work overtime and weekends as required on short notice.
- Welding experience in mechanical manufacturing or valve industry.
- PT and MT-related certificates are preferred.
- SAP knowledge.
