Job Title: Nutrition Educator

Join the State of South Carolina as a Nutrition Educator and make a difference in the lives of individuals and communities. As a key member of our team, you will provide nutrition education and counseling to participants in our Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide WIC certifications, including health history, anthropometrics, immunization screening, and hemoglobin or hematocrit testing.
  • Conduct individual nutrition education counseling and follow-up for participants with low-risk medical conditions.
  • Plan, conduct, and evaluate group nutrition education classes using facilitated learning and tele-nutrition processes.
  • Document all nutrition education contacts according to WIC policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in home economics, home economics education, human ecology, family and child development, dietetics, or foods and nutrition.
  • At least 2 years of relevant nutritional experience in a clinical, public health, or institutional setting.
