Program Overview:

The Highlands of Brighton is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Trainee. This 3-week hybrid program combines online coursework with hands-on skill days and clinical training at our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete online coursework and watch training videos on a laptop, smartphone, or tablet
  • Attend skill days and clinical training at our facility, adhering to a set schedule
  • Pass all quizzes and exams with a minimum score of 90%
  • Submit required health documents and complete fingerprinting and background checks (if required)
  • Be present and punctual for all classes, labs, and clinicals
  • Notify instructors of any difficulties understanding the curriculum or need for accommodations
  • Conduct oneself in a responsible and professional manner, interacting cooperatively with fellow trainees, facility employees, residents, and their families

Exam and Certification:

Upon completion of the program, candidates will be eligible to sit for the New York State CNA exam with Prometric. To qualify, candidates must have completed all required materials and course hours. The state exam will be administered onsite, in the classroom, and candidates will need to provide two forms of identification.
