Aequor Technologies is seeking a qualified Communication Therapist to provide speech and language therapy services to residents of skilled nursing facilities (SNF). As a Communication Therapist, you will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for residents. Your primary responsibility will be to evaluate and assess speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders, and develop individualized treatment plans to address these deficits.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in residents.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication and swallowing deficits.
- Provide direct therapy services, including individual and group sessions, to improve speech, language, and swallowing functions.
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers on strategies and techniques to support communication and swallowing needs at home and in the facility.
Requirements:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- 1-2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric setting.
