Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop robust mechanical systems and hardware to meet demanding customer requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that adhere to UPC, DFT, and DFM requirements
  • Support the resolution of technical issues discovered during manufacture and test of deliverable hardware
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and presentations
  • Participate in the development of complex mechanical systems and hardware, including electromechanical hardware and systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5 years of experience (4 with master's degree)
  • Demonstrated experience in product development and support of DoD military electronic equipment
  • Solid fundamentals of mechanical design, analysis, and documentation principles
  • Experience with state-of-the-art mechanical engineering development software tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Motivated self-starter and problem solver with proven experience executing in diverse multi-disciplinary teams
  • Eligible to obtain a DOD Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge/experience with manufacturing, production, and sustainment of mechanical systems and hardware
  • Experience in the design/development of complex mechanical systems and hardware
  • Experience in the design and manufacture of electronic circuit card assemblies
  • Knowledge of design for manufacturing (DFM) principles
