Job Summary
BAE Systems USA is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the development of integrated test equipment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating complex mechanical systems and hardware.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust mechanical systems and hardware to meet demanding customer requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that adhere to UPC, DFT, and DFM requirements
- Support the resolution of technical issues discovered during manufacture and test of deliverable hardware
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and presentations
- Participate in the development of complex mechanical systems and hardware, including electromechanical hardware and systems
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5 years of experience (4 with master's degree)
- Demonstrated experience in product development and support of DoD military electronic equipment
- Solid fundamentals of mechanical design, analysis, and documentation principles
- Experience with state-of-the-art mechanical engineering development software tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Motivated self-starter and problem solver with proven experience executing in diverse multi-disciplinary teams
- Eligible to obtain a DOD Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge/experience with manufacturing, production, and sustainment of mechanical systems and hardware
- Experience in the design/development of complex mechanical systems and hardware
- Experience in the design and manufacture of electronic circuit card assemblies
- Knowledge of design for manufacturing (DFM) principles
