Position Overview

You will collaborate closely with diverse teams, including product management, quality assurance, and fellow engineers, to produce high-quality software that enables our clients to optimize their operations and meet their objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the development team to gather requirements, create design specifications, and produce technical documentation for municipal ERP software components.
  • Develop clean, efficient, and maintainable code that adheres to industry best practices and coding standards.
  • Apply secure coding techniques to ensure the software's robustness and integrity, addressing potential vulnerabilities and mitigating security risks.
  • Engage actively in Agile Scrum practices, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of development processes and practices to improve team productivity and product quality.
  • Perform unit testing to identify and rectify defects, ensuring the software fulfills functional and performance criteria.
  • Assist in diagnosing and resolving software defects and provide support for technical issues as necessary.
  • Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in software development, suggesting relevant improvements to existing products.
  • Effectively communicate progress, challenges, and achievements with the Development Manager and other team members.
  • Collaborate closely with ETL developers to facilitate data conversions, ensuring smooth and accurate migration of data from legacy systems to the new municipal ERP software.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in C# programming language, with a solid grasp of object-oriented programming principles.
  • Experience with ASP.NET MVC, including the ability to build scalable and maintainable Single Page Applications (SPA).
  • Thorough knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, CSS, and HTML, with the capability to create responsive and user-friendly web interfaces.
  • Familiarity with the .NET Framework, including various libraries and frameworks utilized in software development, with experience in Windows Forms applications.
  • Solid understanding of software development best practices, including version control (TFS/Azure DevOps), code documentation, and testing methodologies.
  • Proficient in SQL Server for relational database management and skilled in writing efficient queries and stored procedures.
  • Experienced in using Visual Studio, an integrated development environment (IDE) for software development.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills, with the ability to efficiently identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively within a team and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Understanding of Agile software development methodologies and the flexibility to adapt to changing requirements and priorities.
