As an Approvals Engineer at FM Approvals, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting thorough testing and analysis of products to determine conformance with industry standards.
  • Developing project proposals that outline the scope of testing, costs, and estimated timelines.
  • Interpreting standards requirements for lab testing and creating lab test plans.
  • Providing guidance to lab personnel on necessary testing procedures.
  • Preparing technical reports and effectively communicating test results to clients and management.
  • Managing project schedules to ensure timely completion.
  • Managing a portfolio of customer projects concurrently.
  • Collaborating with customers and communicating with all levels of management.
  • Approximately 10-15% domestic and international travel for on-site testing.
  • BS Electrical Engineering or BS Electro-Mechanical Engineering degree.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in product development or testing of electrical equipment.
  • Experience in electrical circuit design or analysis.
  • Experience with process and/or industrial control equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong managerial, organizational, client-facing, and customer service skills.
  • Experience in project/time management and the ability to prioritize job duties and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Familiarity with third-party product certification and industry standards is desirable.
  • Local candidates only; relocation support is not available for this role.

The final salary offer will vary based on geographic location, individual education, skills, and experience.
