About Indiana State Park InnsAs one of the oldest lodging systems in the nation, the Indiana State Park Inns operates seven distinct and picturesque facilities across the state. Each location offers a unique experience for guests to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature and create lasting memories.
Situated in a scenic area, Turkey Run Inn features cozy accommodations, on-site cabins, a restaurant, an indoor swimming pool, and meeting spaces.
Position OverviewAt the Indiana State Park Inns, our success hinges on teamwork, quality service, integrity, loyalty, enthusiasm, friendliness, and safety. Employees in housekeeping roles provide exceptional customer service while ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the inn, delivering a high-quality experience for all guests.
A Typical Day:Housekeeping staff are responsible for upholding a clean and organized environment, including guest rooms, cabins, and shared spaces. Key responsibilities include:
- Housekeeping Duties: Execute cleaning tasks to maintain a pristine environment for guests. Responsibilities may encompass making beds, restocking linens, cleaning guest accommodations, disposing of trash, and vacuuming.
- Laundry Responsibilities: Manage the cleaning and organization of linens promptly to meet the inn's laundry requirements.
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Strong customer service abilities.
- Capability to address guest needs professionally.
- Availability to work afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Willingness to wear a provided uniform.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
The Indiana State Park Inns supplements its full-time workforce with part-time and intermittent employees to effectively manage operations. Management determines the classification of positions. Part-time and intermittent employees enjoy flexible scheduling, opportunities for skill development, and the chance to work in a beautiful environment.
Intermittent employees work less than 30 hours per week and are not eligible for benefits. Part-time employees work 30-36 hours per week and qualify for a limited benefits package, including medical insurance, paid time off, and parental leave.
