Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in a part-time capacity. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in speech/language pathology from an accredited institution and be licensed by the Virginia Board of Health Professions for Audiology and Speech Pathology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and indirect speech and language services to students with various disabilities at one or more schools.
  • Complete child find activities and speech/language evaluations, including 60-day screenings and assessment for students referred for suspected speech/language deficits.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with speech/language impairments.
  • Interpret and report assessment results within designated timelines.
  • Develop and present lessons to individual students, small groups, and large groups in special and general classrooms.
  • Implement techniques to facilitate language and remediate speech difficulties.
  • Work cooperatively with other professional staff members involved in the educational programming of students with speech/language impairments.
  • Maintain a clear, concise, and timely record-keeping system.
  • Provide a positive educational environment for students.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in speech/language pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Current license in speech pathology issued by the Virginia Board of Health Professions for Audiology and Speech Pathology.
  • Considerable knowledge of the principles and methodologies of effective remediation of students with speech/language disorders.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, parents, school staff, and administrative personnel.
  • Ability to accurately observe, assess, report, and record learning progress of students.
