Truck Driver CDL A Home Daily Opportunity

Ryder is seeking a dedicated solo Class A CDL driver to join our team in Eldridge, IA. As a home daily truck driver, you will be responsible for delivering freight to Schaumburg, IL, and other locations in the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Loading and unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight as required
  • Maintaining accurate records and logs
Requirements:
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder drug test
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide a valid Class A CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Must have at least 3 months of flatbed experience
  • Cannot accommodate auto restriction
Benefits:
  • Weekly guarantee of $1400
  • Hours per week: 40 or more
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, no weekends
  • Start time: 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM dispatch
  • Trucks are 36 months or newer, with 24/7 roadside maintenance and company drivers fueling up at over 800 maintenance facilities nationwide
