Job Requirements
  • EPIC experience: Required
  • Time Off: Ensure requested dates align with the required start date and do not exceed 5 days
  • Resume: Must accurately reflect detailed duties, hospital size, unit size, and trauma level
  • Certifications: Must be current and valid
  • License: Must hold an active license in AZ or a Compact license
Schedule Information
  • Shifts: 6:45 AM - 7:15 AM (3-minute grace period for clocking in and out), mandatory lunch break
  • Self-scheduling: 4 requested days off within a 4-week period, block scheduling not guaranteed
  • Weekend Requirements: 4 weekend shifts required within a 4-week period
  • Holiday Requirements: 2 major holidays required; only Christmas Day requires working the holiday itself
  • No call or standby: Requirement
Unit Specific Information
  • Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
  • Common Diagnoses: Cardiac cases including open heart surgery, balloon procedures, impella, tPA, TPE
  • Common Drips: Various critical ICU drips
  • Charge Nurse: Charge-free, responds to codes and condition help (RRT)
  • Nurse Aids/Patient Care Techs: Available with defined responsibilities
  • Intensivist Availability: On-site 24/7 with detailed staff availability
  • Respiratory Therapist: Available in ICU 24/7, handling vent settings and intubation
  • Tele/Monitor Techs: Centralized tele monitoring available
  • Floating Requirements: Potential to float to other units, patient ratios adjusted accordingly
  • Scrub Color: Navy Blue
  • Orientation: One day NEO, one day with educator, one day on the floor
