Position Overview:


Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. is seeking dedicated Interventional and Electrophysiology Technologists to join our team in the specialized areas of our medical facilities.

We are open to considering part-time opportunities for seasoned professionals. Our state-of-the-art Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory is equipped with six operational rooms, each staffed by skilled nurses and radiologic technologists specializing in special procedures.

Role Responsibilities:
The Interventional Technologist will be responsible for operating advanced radiographic equipment within the Cath Lab under the supervision of a cardiologist. Key duties include assisting during invasive procedures, documenting essential information, and assessing patient responses throughout the processes.


Procedures:
Our interventional lab conducts a variety of procedures, including but not limited to:
- Balloon angioplasty
- Coronary stenting
- Chronic total occlusions
- Mechanical pulmonary thrombectomy
- PFO and ASD closures
- MitraClip
- TAVR
- Radial catheterizations (95% of cases)

The Electrophysiology lab focuses on device implants, catheter ablation, pulmonary vein ablation, and other specialized EP procedures.


Support Structure:
The Cath Lab is bolstered by a dedicated team of pre and post-procedure nurses, ensuring smooth preparation, recovery, and patient throughput.


Qualifications:
We prefer candidates with at least one year of experience in a Cath Lab, emergency department, critical care, or open-heart recovery; however, we are willing to train new graduates.

Work Schedule:
- Dayshift: 40 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling options available for 8 or 10-hour shifts

Call Requirements:
- Interventional: 7 shifts per month, every fourth weekend with competitive call compensation
- Electrophysiology: No call, no weekends, no holidays, with rotating late shifts

Essential Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology program with an active Kentucky license
- Current KBMIRT and ARRT certification
- BCLS certification required
- ACLS certification within one year
- Advanced certification preferred (RCIS or RTRCI)
