The Fleet Mechanic 2 is a critical position within our organization, responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing our company fleet equipment. This includes class 1-8 diesel and gasoline trucks, trailers, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
Key Responsibilities- Perform various preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on all types of fleet equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electronic malfunctions, perform all types of repairs, rebuild/replace major equipment components.
- Perform emergency roadside services as needed.
- Research and order parts, accurately record usage, and asset in managing stock inventory.
- Complete electronic work orders, ensure all information is recorded in computerized maintenance system.
- Assist team members with troubleshooting & repairs, researching parts, and inspecting equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Perform appropriate duties as assigned by management.
- Minimum age of 18 years old.
- Class A CDL preferred.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies.
- Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines.
- Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets.
- Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology.
- Valid driver's license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
