Key Responsibilities

As a Certified Respiratory Therapist, you will collaborate with a skilled team of professionals dedicated to assisting patients with respiratory challenges. Our therapists are well-versed in providing specialized cardiopulmonary care, including:

  • Administering comprehensive respiratory treatments for diverse patient groups.
  • Conducting thorough patient evaluations, including vital signs and respiratory patterns, during each treatment session.
  • Ensuring all respiratory equipment is functioning correctly, maintaining safety alarms, and documenting all procedures accurately.
  • Performing arterial blood gas analyses with proper identification protocols and managing lab logs as necessary.
  • Handling medications with precision, including accurate labeling and disposal.

Dignity Health offers an Education Benefit program for eligible employees after a specified period, providing financial support for educational advancement. Full-time staff may receive up to $18,000 over five years, while part-time staff may access up to $9,000.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program
  • Valid Arizona Respiratory Therapist License
  • Certification as a National Certified Respiratory Therapist or National Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Registered Respiratory Therapist credential
  • ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • NRP or PALS certification

Compensation

The pay rate for this position is $42.28 per hour.
