Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Clinical Care: Provide comprehensive assessment, triage, and therapeutic management of patient needs, working collaboratively with attending physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Patient Education and Psychosocial Support: Educate patients and families on care and recommended resources, providing psychosocial support in a caring, ethical, and professional manner.
  • Information Management: Ensure accurate and timely documentation, protecting patient information and adhering to hospital and regulatory requirements.
  • Quality Management: Demonstrate a high standard of moral and ethical behavior, professionalism, compassion, and commitment to patient care, ensuring compliance with patient-related healthcare regulatory requirements.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing projects to maintain and advance professional competency, serving as a clinical resource for new staff and participating in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
Qualifications

We require a graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in inpatient hematology oncology care. Advanced Oncology Certified NP (AOCNP) or PA certification is preferred. Must be licensed in CT or eligible, with prescriptive authority or eligibility.
