Vascular Surgery Advanced Healthcare Professional

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Vascular Surgery team at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care to patients in the ambulatory setting under the supervision of attending physicians, assist with new patient intake, conducting assessments, and developing treatment plans, manage in-basket tasks, patient calls, and paperwork to ensure efficient clinic operations, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care, participate in patient education and counseling, and provide assistance as needed in acute care unit, weekend coverage, and ambulatory cardiac surgery coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide comprehensive care to patients in the ambulatory setting, including conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and managing patient care.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist with new patient intake, manage in-basket tasks, patient calls, and paperwork to ensure efficient clinic operations.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Education and Counseling: Participate in patient education and counseling to promote healthy behaviors and improve patient outcomes.
- Acute Care Support: Provide assistance as needed in acute care unit, weekend coverage, and ambulatory cardiac surgery coverage.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: Graduation from an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Licensure: Current licensure as a Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Maryland.
- Certification: Certification by the appropriate certifying body (e.g., ANCC, AANP, NCCPA).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in vascular surgery or a related specialty preferred.
- Skill Set: Strong clinical assessment and communication skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary Range: Estimated salary range $53.15 - $82.38 per hour, commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
