Key Responsibilities

As a Performance Test Engineer, you will:

  • Develop and execute performance test plans based on system and application requirements
  • Conduct load, stress, volume, concurrency, and endurance testing
  • Identify performance bottlenecks, issues, and provide recommendations based on findings
  • Create automated performance test scripts
  • Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand requirements
  • Provide insights for performance improvements
  • Generate comprehensive test reports
  • Collaborate with developers to resolve issues

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 3 years of experience in performance testing
  • Good understanding of the interplay of software and hardware in terms of performance implications
  • Experience with performance test tools, such as Microfocus Load Runner and/or Performance Center
  • Good hands-on working knowledge of script development utilizing different protocols offered by LoadRunner
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies
  • Experience with Unix, Linux, or variant
  • Working knowledge of Windows-based systems
  • Experience with relational databases
  • Performance monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, Dynatrace

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Knowledge of other tools like JMeter
  • Script development experience desired (e.g., Korn shell, C shell, Awk, Perl, PowerShell, etc)
  • Industry experience in investment management or financial services preferred
