About the Position

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nursing Care Specialist to join our team at the Department of Veterans Affairs. Job Description

The ideal candidate for this role will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to delivering patient-centered care. You will work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing your time effectively to meet the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing various medical procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure seamless coordination of care and resolve any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of one year of experience in a nursing care setting, preferably in an acute care hospital or long-term care facility.
  • Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or completion of a nursing assistant training program.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A commitment to delivering patient-centered care and a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of others.
Benefits and Compensation

We offer a competitive salary range of $46,091 to $59,915 per year, depending on your level of experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
