Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisory Dentist to join our team at the Department of Health and Human Services. As a Supervisory Dentist, you will be responsible for managing and supervising the Dental Department, providing professional dental care, and ensuring that the department adheres to Joint Commission and other accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise the Dental Department, including planning, development, organization, integration, and evaluation of clinical services.
  • Provide professional dental care, including diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of dental diseases and health problems.
  • Ensure that the department adheres to Joint Commission and other accreditation standards.
  • Supervise and mentor dental staff, including dentists, hygienists, and assistants.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from a school approved by the American Dental Association (ADA) or the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
  • At least one year of experience as a dentist, including experience in supervisory or management roles.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Working Conditions

This position is located in a healthcare facility and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The selected candidate will be required to obtain and maintain medical staff clinical privileges, including any licensure requirements.
