Financial Reporting SQL Developer

Brightspeed is seeking a skilled SQL Developer, Financial Reporting to join our growing team. As part of the Financial Business Intelligence Team, you will play a critical role in the design and development of complex queries to organize and retrieve data for financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop complex SQL queries to meet business and reporting needs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues
  • Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and prioritize enhancement and development requests
  • Analyze data from multiple sources and maintain data integrity
  • Create and maintain documentation for queries, data, and requirements
  • Optimize queries and document schema
  • Work with IT to support and test data and report migrations
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in SQL, including designing, developing, and troubleshooting complex queries
  • Familiarity with BigQuery to retrieve data
  • Experience with major data migrations involving both business and IT stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of database design principles and experience with data modeling, query planning, and optimization
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams to prioritize and achieve results
  • Attention to detail that translates into strong analytical results and problem-solving
  • Ability to take initiative and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience in SAP/Power BI a plus
