POSITION SUMMARY:

The main objective of this role is to safeguard the well-being of patients at Harmons' pharmacies by ensuring they receive the appropriate medications for their health conditions and providing comprehensive information regarding their prescriptions. This role involves filling and validating prescriptions, advising patients, collaborating with healthcare professionals, administering vaccines, and delivering outstanding customer service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Adheres to established departmental and store protocols.
  • Maintains a clean, sanitized, and well-organized pharmacy that meets company standards.
  • Provides exceptional customer service at the pharmacy counter, drive-thru, and via phone.
  • Processes and verifies prescriptions accurately.
  • Identifies potential drug interactions and contraindications.
  • Engages with healthcare professionals regarding prescription inquiries.
  • Offers counseling to patients about their medications, potential interactions, and over-the-counter recommendations.
  • Administers immunizations following proper protocols.
  • Facilitates information for internal and external audits.
  • Inputs new prescriptions into the pharmacy system.
  • Organizes and files prescription documentation.
  • Requests prescription refills from healthcare providers via phone and electronically.
  • Handles insurance claims and resolves related issues.
  • Receives and organizes pharmacy inventory.
  • Removes expired products from shelves in accordance with company policies.
  • Completes assigned tasks efficiently and promptly.
  • Sets a professional and positive example for colleagues.
  • Mentors and trains pharmacy interns and technicians to foster their success.
  • Provides constructive feedback to pharmacy interns and technicians regarding their performance.
  • Communicates effectively and collaborates closely with the Pharmacy Manager.
  • Ensures compliance with safety, sanitation, and productivity standards.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against Coronavirus (COVID-19).

QUALIFICATIONS:
