Astera Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the Wadena campus. As a key member of our inpatient nursing team, you will provide direct patient care and play a vital role in our workflow processes.
Responsibilities:- Provide individualized patient-focused care from admission to discharge using the nursing process.
- Assist physicians with rounds, physical examinations, and procedures for inpatient and OB departments.
- Safely administer treatments and medications to laboring mothers and monitor the laboring process.
- Perform delivery preparations, including setting up rooms and assisting providers with delivery care.
- Conduct and document patient teaching and discharge instructions to ensure safe continuity of care.
- Perform patient care activities to meet the physical, social, psychological, and spiritual needs of patients and families.
- Establish and perform ongoing culturally sensitive patient/family teaching and discharge planning.
- Initiate and/or assist with Basic Cardiac Life Support in cardiopulmonary arrest situations.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Minnesota.
- Maintain active BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications.
- Two or more years of labor and delivery experience preferred.
