Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Therapist to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Speech Therapist with Pinnacle Home Care, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our patients by providing expert speech therapy services in their homes.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to ensure effective patient care. You will also educate clients and families on speech therapy techniques and related challenges, while maintaining accurate documentation of all evaluations, treatments, and client progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate clients' speech, language, and hearing abilities, recommending strategies to enhance communication and hearing.
  • Conduct initial and ongoing comprehensive assessments, including OASIS evaluations.
  • Develop and revise treatment plans in consultation with physicians as necessary.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members on care plans and provide speech pathology training as needed.
  • Educate clients and families on speech therapy techniques and related challenges.
  • Document all evaluation data, treatments, and client progress promptly.
  • Supervise Home Health Aides every 14 days when Speech Therapy is the sole discipline involved.
  • Communicate regularly with physicians, ensuring orders are appropriate and addressing any changes in client condition.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited Speech Therapy program.
  • Licensure as a Speech Therapist in Florida.
  • A minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Speech Therapist.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • A valid driver's license and insured, reliable vehicle.
  • Strong emotional resilience and physical stamina, including the ability to stand, stoop, and bend frequently.
  • Excellent judgment, communication, and observational skills.
  • Self-motivation with the ability to work independently.
Salary and Benefits
