As a Licensed Vocational Nurse with Pipeline Health System, LLC, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our Subacute/FT/Days unit. Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, you will carry out the established plan of care for an assigned group of patients, utilizing your observation, planning, and implementation skills to ensure the performance of direct care activities.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medications under the scope of practice, perform treatments, and gather data on assigned patients.
- Contribute to an individualized plan of care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, providing patient education as directed, and maintaining a record of care provided.
- Ensure that hygiene and comfort measures are provided, and actively contribute to department operations and communications.
- At least one (1) year prior experience in a department of assignment.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, strong organizational skills, ability to follow verbal instructions, and PC (computer) skills.
- A capacity to learn, synthesize, make critical judgments, work independently, place patients and families first, and collaborate with team members who are recognized leaders within healthcare.
- Graduate of an Accredited school of Licensed Vocational Nurses.
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) issued by licensing/certifying board in state of employment.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association) required.
