The role of the bartender is to deliver exceptional "Guest First" service consistently, ensuring that the Guest remains the focal point of all activities. This involves engaging with Guests and Team Members in a friendly and timely manner, preparing and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, making suggestions, addressing inquiries, taking and delivering orders, collaborating with team members, and following up to guarantee that each Guest receives their correct food and drink orders. Every Guest should feel welcomed at all times.
Physical Requirements:
- Capability to lift, carry, and serve items weighing between 20-40 pounds throughout an eight-hour shift.
- Ability to balance a serving tray while transferring beverage orders.
- Capacity to stand and walk continuously for 6-8 hours.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach for products and items.
- Willingness to work in varying temperature environments, such as cold areas in the refrigerator and hot areas in the kitchen.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and safety at the work station.
- Comfortable working in loud environments, such as during special performances or with noise from kitchen equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Previous experience as a bartender is preferred.
- California Food Handler Certificate required.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Mandarin and Spanish is a plus.
- Must be at least 21 years old as mandated by alcohol regulations.
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic, professionalism, excellent interpersonal communication skills, and a spirit of teamwork.
- Must obtain the California Food Handler Certificate.
- Welcome and greet Guests in accordance with established service standards.
- Take beverage orders from servers or directly from Guests, confirming orders for accuracy.
- Provide information and recommendations regarding food, beverages, features, and other restaurant services.
- Understand and adhere to processes for serving Guests with food allergies.
- Verify guest identification to ensure compliance with age requirements for alcohol purchase.
- Prepare cocktails and other beverages following company recipes.
- Adhere to alcohol awareness protocols to prevent over-service; report any concerns to the Manager on Duty.
- Deliver outstanding Customer Service consistently.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Conduct inventory counts at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Maintain assigned inventory levels.
- Be ready and willing to assist fellow Team Members in fulfilling Guest needs.
- Complete side work at the start, during, and end of each shift as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
