Key Responsibilities

  • Support physicians in the care and education of patients within an inpatient environment.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, holding a master's degree in nursing or a post-master's nurse practitioner certificate.
  • Current licensure/registration to practice in Florida, with prescriptive privileges or eligibility to apply.
  • Certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or the Oncology Nurses Certification Corporation (ONCC).
  • BLS certification required.
  • Proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with diverse populations, including patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities to guide others towards achieving patient care objectives.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess patient conditions, healthcare procedures, and quality of care.
  • Financial acumen to manage and oversee costs and revenue.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion in performing duties.
  • Possession of a valid Florida Driver License.

Screening Requirements

Ensuring the safety of our patients and staff is paramount. All employment offers at Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute are contingent upon the successful completion of a thorough background screening. Additionally, new hires are required to receive various vaccinations, including the influenza vaccine, unless an exemption is approved.
